Francesca Woodman

Some of my favourite Francesca Woodman photographs

I like how in her studies of women she obscures some part of the subject, whether through movement and longer exposure of the film or through covering parts of their body with different materials. I especially like the first photo as it shows her indulging in her love for photography in the room where she lived in New York City. I also included the last photograph as it shows that she was intrigued by photography from a young age; she was thirteen when she took this photo using a shutter-release cable, seen in her hand.
